Agritechnica is the showcase for the global agricultural engineering industry. It took place from November 10 to 16 in Hannover, Germany. It is the main fair on agricultural technology and innovation. For a week, companies in the sector met to present their discoveries and innovations there.

It has been another successful year for the Agritechnica show. The world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery has received, this year, more than 450,000 visitors. This edition was focused above all on the challenges that make up the growth of local productivity, respect for the environment and sustainability.

Attendees had the opportunity to present innovative solutions for the future of the agricultural industry and society. We were able to learn about new techniques created thanks to digitization, automation and robotization. 30% of the visitors were professionals from the agricultural sector from more than 150 countries around the world, most of them from the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Italy and Russia. The rest of the attendees came from the organizing country itself. The people who attended the event took the opportunity to talk about the future prospects of the agricultural world and to propose future development and optimization strategies.

More than 2,500 companies from 53 countries were present at Agritechnica 2019 to present their extensive catalog of tractors, machinery and accessories.

This year the first “International Day of the Farmer” was also celebrated. This initiative had the objective of creating a new space in which farmers, companies and organizations could exchange knowledge and experiences while networking and developing their network of contacts. On this occasion, the initiative focused on France, Great Britain and Northern Ireland and was in line with the central theme of the event, 'Global agriculture. Local responsibility'.

The general environment of the sector was positive, with opinions quite optimistic regarding the future development of agricultural machinery. As demonstrated in the surveys carried out during the show, ⅔ of the farmers and engineers in the sector stated that they will continue to invest and bet on innovation and technology in the next two years.

For the first time, Agritechnica decided to combine international agriculture with entrepreneurship to give life to "DLG-agrifuturelab", a space created for entrepreneurs to present their business ideas and get in touch with potential investors in the sector. The jury made up of experts and specialists from the sector awarded a gold medal and thirty-nine silver medals. In total there are 291 innovations that were presented during the show.

The next edition will take place from November 14 to 20, 2021 in Hannover, Germany.
