These engines of three and four atmospheric cylinders or turbo, are very common in Dumpers and construction machinery (Ausa, MZ Imer), auxiliary truck engines (Ros Roca,) waste and garbage trucks, feed trucks, compact tractors (Pasquali, BCS, Ferrrari, Valpadana, Agria, Antonio Carraro, Alfa, Lander), generators and motorcycle.

Built in block and smelt and refrigerated by water, it is the most robust range of Lombardini.

In this series are the LDW 1503, LDW 1603, LDW 2004 and LDW 2204 models.
